The name “Brittany” derives from the Britons who, back in the dark ages, came south across the English Channel to seek refuge from the Anglo-Saxon invaders who were pushing them out of a large part of the island of Great Britain. In this historic past, other Britons fled to the west and south west of their own island, to Wales and Cornwall; and so it is that today, Brittany shares a historic culture with the other Celtic regions of northwest Europe.
They rapidly built a strong reputation and became one of the most recognised Restaurants in town.
Over nine years of existence, l’Artisan restaurant has received several awards but the last reward was an amazing article in November 2021 from Jay Rayner on The Observer, the Guardian Newspaper.
From June 2022, they have chosen to orientate their business into a new direction to adapt and improve their lifestyle with a new challenge.
They have converted their Fine Dinning restaurant into a French Bistro – Café du Midi venue, they open the premises to their clientele from 10am to 4pm (3pm last order for hot food).
They offer Morning Coffees (and Croissant!), Lunch Menu with their well-known Set Menu of the “Tour de France” of the different regions of their birth country and Takeaway service in a relaxed French Style atmosphere.
* A big Merci to JAY RAYNER for his review in “The Observer” in November 2021.
