Our Story

*We are happy to put back our Seafood Menu for only 1 week! From Tuesday the 17th to Saturday the 21st of October for Lunch only. Starter: Mediterranean Fish Soup served with Croûtons and Cheese Main Course: Whole Dressed Crab served with Aïoli, hot New Poatoes, Vinaigrette Salad at £14.95. Don’t miss this week!

*Our New Gastronomic “Tour de France” will lead us to AUVERGNE. Auvergne is one of France’s ancient provinces. The modern Auvergne region is made up of the historic province, plus an area in the north known as le Bourbonnais. Auvergne is known for its mountain ranges and dormant volcanoes. Yves has concocting some yummy famous traditional recipes in a set menu available for Lunch time. You will find some Puys Lentils Salad, Aligot, Potee Auvergnate etc…This “Auvergne” Gastronomic “Tour de France” will start on Tuesday Lunch the 24th of October up to Saturday Lunch the 4th of November. Available as well from 6 to 7pm (last order) from Tuesday to Thursday. The set menu will be available at £14.95 for 2 courses or £18.95 for 3 courses menus. You can already book your table at L’Artisan.*After our Tour de France, from Tuesday 7th to Saturday the 18th of November, enjoy our MOULES-FRITES for lunch! Don’t miss the 2 weeks!

* Then, after lots of inquiries, here is the CASSOULET !!  For 2 weeks, from Tuesday the 21ST of November to Saturday the 2d of December, enjoy one of the most popular French dish. Cassoulet is a rich, slow-cooked casserole originating in the south of France, containing meat, white beans etc. The dish is named after its traditional cooking vessel, the cassole, a deep, round, earthenware pot.

* Keep in mind we will open 3 Mondays in December, for dinner time: 4th, 11th and 18th.

Elisabeth and Yves, who come from Provence, successfully ran for several years in the Leicestershire country side, near Melton Mowbray, a gastro-pub-restaurant called “La Table d’Yves”.
