Our Story

L’Artisan, the only genuine French Restaurant in Cheltenham !!

* From Tuesday the 10TH to Saturday the 21ST of April, Head Chef Yves will concoct the traditional CASSOULET. Rich, slow-cooked casserole originating in the south west of France, the CASSOULET contains confit meats (pork belly, Toulouse sausages, duck etc…), and white beans, cooked in a tomato sauce and aromatic herbs for £ 15.95. The Cassoulet will be served only at Lunch Time.

* Moules-Frites (Mussels and Pommes-frites), last one until next September!! From Tuesday 24th of April to Saturday 5th of May at Lunch Time only, Head Chef Yves will offer you a wide selection of different recipes of Moules-frites from £12.95. Moules à la Marinière £12.95, Moules Sauce Poulette, (Crème Fraîche, white wine, onions, parsley) £13.95, Moules au Saumon Fumé Maison (The salmon is smoked in our premises!!) £14.95, Moules au Bacon £12.95 etc…Don’t miss the 2 weeks! You can already book your table at L’Artisan.

* Our Gastronomic “Tour de France” is back!! Let us take you along to NICE, located in the French Riviera, on the south east coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Alps. Yves has concocting some yummy famous traditional recipes in a set menu available for Lunch time. This Pays Nicois ….” GastronomicTour de France will start on Tuesday Lunch the 8th of May up to Saturday Lunch the 19th of May. You will find some Pistou Soup, Black Olives and Lemon Chicken Fricassee, Sardines, Lavender and Lemon Tart, etc… The set menu will be available at £14.95 for 2 courses or £18.95 for 3 courses menus. Elisabeth and Yves, who come from Provence, successfully ran for several years in the Leicestershire country side, near Melton Mowbray, a gastro-pub-restaurant called “La Table d’Yves”.
